Dipankar Dutta Gupta, MD, East India Pharmaceutical Works recently passed away in Kolkata. He held several important posts in Indian Drug Manufacturers’ Association (IDMA), the national body of drug manufacturers and Indian Chemical Council (ICC). He was the President of ICC for two years 2006-08.
Gupta was also an Executive Committee Member of Organisation of Pharmaceutical Producers of India (OPPI) and former President of Bengal National Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BNCCI), Kolkata.
Born in 1950, he graduated from St Xavier’s College, Kolkata and did his Master’s in Business Administration from the City University of New York (CUNY).
